Help Your Clients Turn Empty Houses into Homes

Securing housing is critical for people transitioning out of homelessness or other crisis situations. However, moving into an empty space without the basics can be discouraging and destabilizing. The Philadelphia Furniture Bank (PFB) helps bridge that gap by providing full sets of essential home furnishings, so newly housed individuals and families can settle in with comfort and dignity.
If your organization works with clients in need of home furnishings, becoming a PFB Member Agency allows you to access our services directly and support your clients through the final step of making their house feel more like home.
How It Works for Member Agencies
1. Apply to Become a Member Agency
PFB partners with Philadelphia-based organizations that serve individuals and families moving out of homelessness or other crisis housing situations. Your clients must reside in Philadelphia. Once approved, your organization will join our network of more than 50 agencies. Our application for FY2026 just opened!
2. Get Onboarded
We’ll walk your staff through the referral and scheduling process so you can start supporting your clients right away. As a member agency, your designated staff can submit referrals and self-schedule appointments throughout the year.
3. Submit Referrals and Schedule Appointments
When your clients are ready for furniture, you will schedule a visit to PFB using our scheduling portal. We furnish more than 1,000 homes each year, and we’re excited to partner with more agencies to furnish even more!
4. Accompany Your Client to PFB
A case manager or referring staff member will attend the appointment with their client, helping them navigate the selection process alongside one of our shoppers. Together, you’ll choose a full set home furnishings that match your client’s style, home size, and family needs.
5. Choose a Delivery Option
After furniture is selected, there are a few options to get the furniture to your client’s home:
• Self-transport, arranged by the client or agency
• Free curbside drop-off, the next day
• In-Home Delivery, for a small fee

When clients can’t move in without furniture first, we help fill that gap quickly with quality essentials.
