EvolveIP Gives Back at the Philadelphia Furniture Bank

In honor of National Volunteer Week from April 10-16th, it's our pleasure to highlight some of our awesome volunteers. Recently at the Philadelphia Furniture Bank, an enthusiastic group of volunteers from EvolveIP gave their time to help families who are moving out of homelessness. They were rock stars, assembling a total of 36 tables and 64 chairs!

EvolveIP provides the IT resources for Pathways to Housing PA and the Philadelphia Furniture Bank. In addition to providing IT services, Evolve IP has "made giving back to the communities where (they) live and work a key tenant of the organization- (they) call it Evolve Cares. The company started in 2007 and since then (their) associates have volunteered over 3,300 hours of their time." I sat down with Nicole Linehan, Senior Manager of Corporate Affairs & Development at EvolveIP, to ask about the company and the philosophy behind their volunteer mission.

An integral part of this IT company’s mission is to give back to the community. It’s a major part of what drives and inspires the staff at EvolveIP. As part of their mission to give back, Nicole shared that EvolveIP frequently organizes volunteer days. On these days, the staff members are invited to spend their time during the work day volunteering with different local organizations. Nicole loves the culture of volunteering and the feeling of doing something great for someone else. Her favorite part of these volunteer days, however, is the team building opportunities and seeing friendships form outside of the office!

Thank you, EvolveIP, for helping families move out of homelessness and enjoy furniture in their new homes!
