Volunteering at WHYY

Pathways Staff, Rebecca DeWhitt with members of the Philly Roller Derby

On May 8th, Pathways to Housing PA's employees Saron Wersom and Rebecca DeWhitt volunteered with WHYY to support their spring pledge drive. May 8th was the infamous College Challenge, and the ladies received calls from donors eager to pair the name of their alma mater with their pledge. Though Temple ultimately won the challenge, it was a close competition! They also enjoyed answering phones with some of the Philly Roller Girls, and even took home some free Roller Derby tickets (thanks Cycrone!).

We’d like to extend a big thank you to WHYY for allowing us to come! Our staff thoroughly enjoyed the pledge drive, and we look forward to volunteering with WHYY in the future.
