Open Call for Artists - Furnished for Good 2026
Furnished for Good is Pathways to Housing PA's signature fundraising event.
It is a one-of-a-kind auction showcasing the creativity of local artists and designers who take inspiration from our event theme to create original works of art that will raise money for Pathways to Housing PA. The auction will conclude with a celebration event on Friday, April 24th, 2026 at NextFab.
Chosen artists will take inspiration from this year's theme, Rest and Resilience.
The open call closes on Friday, January 2nd, 2026.
About the Theme: Rest and Resilience
At Pathways, we work with individuals who have shown incredible resilience in the face of years, sometimes decades, of homelessness. That resilience has carried them through unimaginable challenges. But resilience alone isn’t enough; everyone deserves the chance to rest. For many of our participants, having a home means finally being able to let their guard down, to sleep through the night, to pause without fear. This year, we invite our participating artists to reflect on the power of rest and the strength it takes to keep going. Through their work, we hope to capture both the quiet moments and the enduring spirit of those we serve.
There are a few different ways to participate this year:
- Furniture Upcycling: Refurbish or upcycle a piece from the Philadelphia Furniture Bank inspired by 'Rest and Resilience'
- Original Artwork: Create a new piece in any medium inspired by 'Rest and Resilience'
- Wearable Art: Design wearable art influenced by 'Rest and Resilience'
- Existing Artwork Donation: Donate a piece of existing artwork to the auction.
- Art Print Donation: Donate signed prints to generate donations to help us reach our fundraising goal at the event.
- Live Art Creation: Create art live during the Furnished for Good event inspired by 'Rest and Resilience'.
Applications will be reviewed and artists will be selected by our Furnished for Good guest curator, Lawren Alice. The open call closes on Friday, January 2nd, 2026.
