Yonnette talks to Howard about beds for her and her family.

On a sunny June day, Yonnette came into the Philadelphia Furniture Bank. The Philadelphia Furniture Bank, a project of Pathways to Housing PA, provides furniture for individuals and families moving out of homelessness. Most clients that come into the furniture bank live in homes without couches, beds, tables, and even lights. Yonnette was one of thsoe individuals.

"Do you have any kids?" we asked.

"Yes, I have two boys, ages 9 and 10. I also have two twins on the way!" she said with glee.

"Wonderful. Do you have any furniture in your house?"

Wil Reynolds

In honor of National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, a friend of Pathways to Housing PA is "sleeping outside" to help our area's homeless children. Wil Reynolds, founder of SEER Interactive, a Philadelphia-based SEO firm and a board member of Convenant House will be particpating in a "Sleep Out" on November 20th.

Wil graciously took some time to talk with us about his sleep out.

Eugene at the Polls

Pathways was thrilled to help get our program participants to the polls for the primary election in Philadelphia. It is a wonderful sight to witness the self-esteem that comes with pulling that lever. Our goal is to help every Pathways community member feel that power and exercise their right to vote.
