A CONCERT TO REMEMBER!
Posted November 19, 2014
In honor of National Homelessness and Hunger Week, November 15-24, West Philly Orchestra performed a benefit concert for Pathways to Housing PA. Proceeds from the concert helped chronically homeless individuals battling severe mental illness in Philadelphia receive safe homes and the treatment needed to recover and thrive. More than 100 people came out to support Pathways.
West Philly Orchestra, a unique live ensemble, made up of a diverse line-up of professional Philadelphia musicians whose influences range from Sun Ra to Bulgarian brass bands, put on a crowd pleasing show!
The concert was made possible by FamilyAffaires.com, ActionAIDS, Resources for Human Development, Cavanaugh Hagan Pierson & Mintz, MESSAGE AGENCY, Sassafras, BEVCO Service, Inc., Kids Café, Stacy L. And many thanks to our own, Ellie Tremble, MSW, for capturing some awesome photos at the concert!
