IT Tech/ Help Desk Assistant

Position Summary: Provides technical customer service to employees and performs other related duties assigned by the IT Director.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the IT Director, the IT Tech assist on various projects including but not limited to:

  • Help Desk assistance with computer software and hardware issues
  • Assist with technical documentation of systems and processes
  • Assist with the creation and documentation of technical knowledge base for common issues experienced by end users.
  • Maintain and Completes data Entry with Equipment and IT Inventory management
  • Assist in MDM (mobile devices) and repair of equipment hardware (laptops and iPhone devices)
  • Perform other duties assigned by the IT Director.


Essential Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Associate Degree and/or one to two years related technical experience.
  • Experience with MS Office products ·
  • Knowledge with Microsoft operating systems (Windows 10) and Apple software devices
  • Must have basic knowledge of current technologies available in the IT world
  • Previous experience with computer and printer maintenance and repair.
  • Work independently and assist with multiple projects, priorities, and locations. ·
  • Must show aptitude and desire to learn new skills on the job. ·
  • Some availability to assist on after business hours during emergencies or maintenance.  
  • Able to adapt to change and meet deadlines.
  • Effective, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Familiarity with commonly used hardware, software and help desk functions
  • The ability to demonstrate initiative and responsibility, perform multiple tasks, attend to detail, meet deadlines, adapt quickly to changes, and respond well to feedback.
  • Familiarity with VoIP issues, laptop and Mobile repair

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Able to lift, carry, push, pull, up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Able to sit for the majority of the time, but may involve brief periods of time involving walking or standing.
