Position Summary:

Good Haul, Philadelphia’s only non-profit junk-hauling service, provides sustainable and affordable furniture-removal and junk-hauling solutions for customers in the greater Philadelphia area. We are a sister service of the Philadelphia Furniture Bank, which furnishes homes for over 1400 local households exiting homelessness annually, and we partner with a network of organizations to keep usable items out of the landfill.

Good Haul’s Office Manager is a key component of our administrative support and customer service function.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to phone, e-mail and web inquiries to Good Haul
  • Collect project information from clients; work with Manager to provide quotes for service and to schedule service appointments
  • Maintain appointments calendar; follow-up on completed paperwork from drivers.
  • Communicate with Philadelphia Furniture Bank furniture donors to schedule donation appointments; refer furniture donors to Good Haul when appropriate
  • Maintain Salesforce database with client and project information: adhere to procedures for data collection/entry; ensure accuracy and completeness of data
  • Coordinate inventory transfer with Philadelphia Furniture Bank and other organizations
  • Provide administrative support to Manager
  • Manage invoicing, purchasing, receipts, and reconciliations; schedule maintenance as needed; purchase equipment and supplies.
  • Manage all admin interactions with Pathways to Housing PA staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned; attend daily morning meetings and share information as necessary.

Essential Education, Experience and Skills:

  • High School diploma required; some college preferred
  • Experience in office management/administrative responsibilities; 3+ years, preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, required
  • Strong computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office apps (Outlook, Excel, Word) and iOS apps
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar database preferred

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Mostly office and warehouse environment
  • Frequent in-person/phone/e-mail interaction with clients & partner organizations
  • Walking and standing; sitting for periods of time at a desk

Salary Range: $37,000 - 45,000 annually
